The current building has been in situ for about 200 years. It now boasts a large extension as well as premium fixtures and furnishings.

The pub caters for 125 covers inside and 200 plus covers outside.

A description into the coaching inn said: "Based in the heart of what is often considered to be the adventure capital of Europe and one of Europe’s most popular National Parks, the Tal Y Cafn is located in a peaceful location just five minutes outside the centre of Conwy, proudly sitting overlooking the Conwy River with Snowdonia National Park in the distance.

"A popular stop-off point for both locals and travellers alike, the Tal Y Cafn has something for everything and boasts an enviable reputation. A popular spot also for private events and occasions, including weddings – the premises can cater for up to 350 people – 150 covers inside and an additional 200 plus outside. The outdoor area basks in the sunshine in the summer months, and has footings already in place for a large marquee to transform the space in to something unrecognisable."

The business is operational. It has a "full compliment" of employees who look after the day to day running of the business – including a general manager, assistant manager, a number of supervisors and a head chef running a larger team of sous chefs.

The description added: "There is a huge opportunity for further development of the business - currently sitting within approximately one acre, and with 60 car parking spaces.

"The new owner of this premises has a unique opportunity to purchase (separately) land adjacent to the hotel, that already has planning permission for 10 wooden lodges to be built, in what will be a Britain’s 'first-of-it’s-kind' holiday lodge complex. Featuring nine wooden lodges and one 'super lodge' – although these plans are open to amendments and the land could be used for glamping pods or another suitable use case."

Current owner Mike Hales purchased The Tal-y-Cafn and restored it to the community in 2020, during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The business is being sold as a freehold premises and business operation – restaurant, bar and accommodation.
