A NUMBER of Llangefni Town stars have given manager Chris Roberts a huge boost after agreeing to remain at the club.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One runners-up are expected to challenge once again next season and have been buoyed with the news that eight of the current squad penned new deals to spearhead their title challenge.

Prolific forward Craig Roberts is a hugely influential member of the Cefni side and his signature is a huge signal of intent from the talented young manager, while veteran defender Steve Kehoe is another that has re-committed to the promotion hopefuls and his experience will be vital throughout the campaign.

Big things are once again expected of James Saxon, Callum Mcminimee and Jack Williams, and rounding off the signings is Cai Powell-Roberts, Dan Thomas and Matthew Jones, who will look to continue their excellent recent progress under the guidance of the Town boss.

More signings are expected to be revealed in the coming days, as the club look to finally get their hands the elusive silverware and secure promotion to the Huws Gray Alliance.

It is set to be another hugely competitive third tier which welcomes the likes of Llandudno Junction, Prestatyn Sports and Bodedern Athletic into the fold, but anything like the form displayed last season would see Roberts’ side amongst the leading pack when the final places are being decided.
