LLANGEFNI Town are top of Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One after an impressive 4-1 victory over title rivals Llandudno Albion.

Chris Roberts’ side moved three points clear of Conwy Borough having played a game more following their second win in four days.

Goals from Harry Galeotti (2) and a Iwan Jones penalty put Town in command. Although Dan Evans reduced the deficit, Matthew Jones wrapped up the victory.

A goal and they got off the mark on 16 minutes when Harry Galeotti found the net.

The same player was on hand to double their advantage on 28 minutes with another well-taken finish after a period of pressure, and Town sealed the points after the break courtesy of an Iwan Jones penalty on 71.

Albion did manage a consolation for their efforts that arrived on 77 minutes through Dan Evans, but Cefni restored their three-goal cushion on 87 when Matthew Jones rounded off the scoring.

Llanrug United also remain in the championship picture after securing six points from their last two games, with their 2-1 success over Nantlle Vale taking them to within 17 points of the leaders with six games in hand.

Chris Parry gave the visitors a shock lead, but Luke Phillips equalised before a stoppage time penalty from Dylan Owen gave United victory.

Llanberis’ promotion hopes suffered a setback as they were beaten 1-0 at home by Mynydd Llandegai, with Andy Barker’s effort after 73 minutes separating the two sides.

A treble from Stephen Whittaker gave Division Two side Bodedern Athletic a 5-0 home win over Gaerwen, while Aberffraw beat Y Felinheli 3-1.

Blaenau Amt defeated Llannefydd 2-1 and Trearddur Bay won 3-1 at Pentraeth to advance in the Mawddach Challenge Cup.
