PRESTATYN Sports returned to Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two action with a resounding 5-0 home success over Penmaenmawr Phoenix.

Mark Hughes’ side took their time to get going before taking the lead on 33 minutes when the prolific Ian Griffiths successfully converted from the penalty spot.
After the break saw the home side completely dominate proceedings and they doubled their advantage on 50 minutes when James Harper finished well.
Things got even better for the hosts on 53 minutes when another impressive attacking move saw Chris Owen find the target, and the points were wrapped up on the hour mark thanks to a fierce drive from Mike Jones.
The promotion hopefuls rounded off another exceptional afternoon at the office on 80 minutes when Tom MacDougall converted an opportunity, and the result leaves Sports in second spot and 22 points behind Glan with ten games to spare on their championship rivals.
Meliden’s home game with Cemaes Bay was called-off due to the visitors being unable to raise a team for the contest.
