ST ASAPH City continued their excellent start to the New Year with a 3-0 victory over Nantlle Vale.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side secured their second win in succession following the Christmas break, and they managed to take the lead on 71 minutes through a John Taylor effort.

The Saints increased their advantage on 78 minutes with a fine strike from striker Carl Murray, and they wrapped up the points on 83 when John Terry found the target.

The away side came out of the blocks flying and took the lead on two minutes through the in-form Jamie Jones, but the hosts responded well to the setback and levelled matters on 43 through Matthew Griffiths.

After the break saw the decisive moment of the encounter when Glan were awarded a penalty on the hour mark which Jones converted to condemn them to defeat.
