ST ASAPH City got back to winning ways with a resounding 7-3 victory over improving Trearddur Bay.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One outfit turned in their finest performance of the campaign to kick off the year in style, and they wasted no time in making an impact after Jason Foulkes gave them the lead in the first minute.

An own goal levelled matters for the away side on 11 minutes, but the Saints responded immediately with a Chris Bennett finish on 12.

After the break saw Jake Walker extend their advantage on 53 minutes, and this was quickly followed up by a Shaun Davies strike on 58 to put them further clear after Bay had reduced the arrears shortly prior to the fourth.

The hosts put the exclamation point on proceedings in a blistering end to the contest, with Foulkes, Bennett and Davies all securing their braces to round off an impressive win.

Division Two title challengers Prestatyn Sports were in rampant form once again as they thrashed Blaenau Ffestiniog 8-1 on their travels.

Ian Griffiths was the star of the show and netted four times during the triumph, with Kris Owen finding the target twice either side of the break.

An own goal and a Tom Court effort in the final five minutes finished off the rout, and Sports remain 13 points behind leaders Glan Conwy with an astonishing eight games in hand on their promotion rivals.
