BANGOR returned to winning ways with a 69-10 rout over struggling Abergele.

Despite the eventual result it was the visitors who drew first blood when Richard Medlicotte slotted over a penalty for Gele, but this seemed to wake up the home side who got their noses in-front when Cameron Owen produced a fine piece of individual skill to touch down. Nick Dundee added the extras for his first of six successful extra-point kicks.

Owen was in sensational mood throughout and another blistering run resulted in his second of the afternoon soon after, with Dundee firing over the conversion, and the former Rydal Penrhos and RGC Academy prospect finished off a fine team move to cross the white wash.

Centre Celvin Williams got on the end of the next attack and touched down for the fourth try, but Gele managed to notch a score of their own thanks to a well-worked lineout which Medlicotte go over.

More tries arrived for the home side after the break courtesy of wingers Tom Bell and Gethin Jones, while John Pym and a Matt Bosley brace saw them extended their advantage further during a rampant spell of dominance.

There was still time for the WRU National League Division Two North side to put the exclamation point on proceedings late on, with Kevin Williams and then Jones rounding off the scoring.
