LLANGEFNI extended their unbeaten run to five WRU National League Division One North contests with a 13-6 win at Caernarfon.

The away side got their noses in-front on ten minutes when Greg Horsman made no mistake with a well-struck penalty, but the Cofis managed to level matters soon after Aled Jones fired over a stunning 40 metre free-kick.

This provoked a strong response from the visitors, who went ahead once again thanks to another Horsman penalty soon after, and things got even better midway through the half when Iwan Humphreys intercepted an errant pass, and he fed the ball to fellow centre Richard Foulkes who demonstrated his immense speed to touch down after a blistering run from 30 metres out. Horsman added the extras to give them a ten-point cushion at the interval.

After the break saw the home side withstand some heavy pressure in the opening exchanges, but the weathered the storm and reduced the arrears as Jones drilled his second penalty of the afternoon.

That was as good as it got for the hosts, who were unable to take advantage of some promising positions thanks in no small part to the outstanding Cefni defence during the second period which confirmed their victory, and the in-form side are now in fourth spot ahead of their home clash with Llandudno on Saturday.
