BANGOR City Men's hockey team were unable to raise a team for the trip to Macclesfield 2nds on Saturday and unfortunately had to cancel the match.

The postponement, which has resulted in a three-point deduction - coupled with a 4-0 win for relegation rivals Alderley Edge 5s - sees Bangor's six-point cushion over Edge cut to zero, only staying out of the relegation places due to their better goal difference.

City will replay the match on Macclesfield on Sunday, March 4. Before then, they host Triton Men's 2nds at the Brailsford Centre 3G on Saturday, 2.15pm pushback.

The club are always looking for players for the men’s and women’s teams, and welcome anyone - from absolute beginners to experienced players - to join the club's training sessions.

Whether you want to start a fun new activity to keep fit, or want to feel part of a team, they encourage anyone to come to our training sessions to try it out.

The sessions are at 8pm on Tuesday evenings, at the Brailsford Centre 3G pitch (old Maes Glas), in Bangor.
