BRO Goronwy suffered another blow to their Gwynedd League title hopes as they were held to a 1-1 draw at Nefyn United.

The home side gained an advantage just before the break when Michael Williams converted an opportunity on 40 minutes, but Bro managed to rescue a share of the spoils late on when Tom Morton netted from the penalty spot on 75.

A stunning second-half display was the catalyst behind Llangoed’s 4-2 success at Beaumaris Town, with Luke Roberts, David Thomas and Arwyn Morris all scoring in the final 45 minutes.

Improving Menai Bridge Tigers advanced to the Meditel Cup second round with a thumping 7-3 home win over Llanllyfni.

A brace from Callum Graves did the majority of the damage, with other goals coming from Owain Roberts, Tom Parry, Dave Baston and Andy Wannop.
