ONLY two out of the four fixtures involving Anglesey League teams went ahead on Saturday as waterlogged pitches once again caused problems.
The Elias Cup semi-final ties between Arriva Bangor and Mynydd Tigers and Bryngwran Bulls and Bodorgan were called off as venues were deemed unsuitable.
However, Valley came away with a hard fought 3-1 against Pentraeth Reserves in the Bwlch Car Boot Trophy.
The club's top scorer Justin Williams broke the deadlock after Nik Kontodios played him in on goal.
Left back Justin Taylor then made it 2-0 when he curled the ball right into the top corner of the net from the corner.
Williams then added a second of his own, before the Reserves pulled a late consolation goal back with a 20 yard chip over Valley goalkeeper Jamie Owen.
Elsewhere, Caergybi demolished Llandegfan 12-2 in the Kon-X Anglesey League.
Glenn North hit a hat-trick and Luke Mckittrick, Ashley Beck and Dafydd Edwards all grabbed a brace each.
Liam Williams, Elliott Patterson and Jack Roberts completed the rout.
Llandegfan's Ryan Hughes scored a brace for them, becoming their top scorer for the season on six goals.
