ARRIVA Bangor continued their fine form in the Kon-X Anglesey League with a resounding 11-0 victory over Pentraeth Reserves.

Kevin Jones' side were in full control at Beach Road on Saturday afternoon as they swept the Reserves aside.

Matthew Williams was first on the scoresheet as he scored a fine overhead kick on 10 minutes. Kyle Jones doubled the lead soon after, running in from the wing to score.

Andy Clarke then continued his great form of late by adding four goals of his own and fellow striker Scott Hughes netted five goals to take his tally for the season to 28.

The win sees Arriva stay in fifth position in the league having played 10 matches so far in what has been a great debut season for them.

Elsewhere, a determined Mynydd Tigers side beat Bodorgan 6-2 in the Huws Gray Megan Cup.

Kieron Bullock, Tom Eames and captain Mike Williams all bagged a brace for the home side, whilst Luke Allaway was also at the double for the visitors.

Top-of-the-table Valley came away as convincing 6-0 winners in their North Wales Coast Junior Cup clash against Rhyl Rovers.

The Anglesey League side progressed to the fourth round of the tournament thanks to goals from Mark Hamblin, Marc Wilson, Konner Druce and yet another Justin Williams hat-trick.

Rivals Caergybi are the only other Anglesey League side left in the prestigious competition. They will take on Gwynedd League side Bontnewydd next Saturday (1.30pm ko).
