CONWY Borough will entertain Guilsfield in their first game back in the Huws Gray Alliance.

The Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One champions take on a formidable Guils’ outfit in their opening fixture on Saturday, August 11, who recently lost talisman Asa Hamilton after he agreed to join rivals Airbus Broughton.

This will be followed by a trip to the Wingmakers the following week, and they also take on Holyhead Hotspur, Buckley Town and Denbigh Town in their opening series of games.

Gareth Thomas’ men face a busy festive period which begins with a home clash against Gresford Athletic at Y Morfa, and they make the trek to the Holy Islanders for the eagerly awaited Boxing Day encounter before hosting Airbus on December 29.

Their run-in begins with a home tie against recently relegated Prestatyn Town, with Penryhncoch, Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochant and Gresford also on the schedule to finish off the campaign.

Two more dates for the diary include their outing against title favourites Bangor City on September 25 and February 15, while they face promotion hopefuls Rhyl on September 22 and February 1.

The treble winners have already secured the re-signings of a number of key squad members including top scorer Corrig McGonigle and skipper Iolo Hughes as Boro’ look to re-establish themselves as a second tier force next term.
