BANGOR City have been handed a home tie as they begin their quest for Huws Gray Cup glory.

The Citizens will host Gresford Athletic in the first stage of the competition, who have made a number of signings during the first stages of the transfer window to offset the significant loss of defender Max Peate and midfielder Dave McIntyre to Rhyl.

Darren Garmey’s Holyhead Hotspur face a trip to big-spending Flint Town United, who got their hands on the coveted trophy last term.

The tie of the round sees Rhyl welcome Denbigh Town, which sees the Lilies’ new management team of Eddie Maurice-Jones and assistant Richard Williams-Cooke take on their old club.

This sequence of events has also seen former Lilywhites boss Matthew Jones take up the managerial position at Central Park alongside Dewi Llion, and the respective moves have resulted in a number of different playing personnel switching clubs during a dramatic summer of transfer activity so far.

Prestatyn Town will mark their return to the competition with a home tie against Penrhyncoch at the Motion Finance Stadium, while title hopefuls Airbus Broughton entertain Holywell Town under their new management team of Gareth Sudlow, Dave Sweet and Andy Lewis.

Newly promoted sides Conwy Borough and Llanrhaeadr-ym-Mochnant square off at Y Morfa, and fellow newboys Buckley Town face a stern test of their credentials when they visit Porthmadog.
