A STUNNING display of bowling from Gethin and Gerallt Roberts was the catalyst behind Menai Bridge’s five-wicket triumph at Chirk.

The brother tandem were in devastating for to extend the unbeaten record of the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division title hopefuls, and Dion Holden’s men face another stern test of their credentials this Saturday when they host Llandudno.

Gethin made an extremely impressive start with the new ball by taking out the opening pair of Chris Pritchard and Ollie Gough for three and seven, and he also disposed of top order threats Wynn Jones (4) and skipper Andrew Swarbrick (0) on his way to outstanding figures of 5-25 from 12 overs.

Overseas player Patrick Glover too the other scalp when he clean bowled wicketkeeper Ian Skinner for a four-ball duck as the home side collapsed to 52 all out from 26 overs at the crease.

He continued this super form by removing the stumps of Ed Gatsby (6) and Callum Andrews (0), but a patient knock unbeaten knock of 15 from Jack Gower ensured that Bridge got over the line with minimal fuss for the loss of five wickets after just 13 overs of play.
