CAERNARFON Town have received a further boost with the news that two more senior squad members have committed to the club.

Manager Sean Eardley revealed that striker Jamie Breese and midfielder Gareth Evans will be part of their first season back of the JD Welsh Premier League, and they join Joe Williams, Danny Brookwell and Alex Ramsay in ending speculation regarding their futures.

The duo are vastly experienced and played a huge contributing factor in the Cofis’ Huws Gray Alliance title success, with Evans making an instant impact following his high-profile move from Llandudno.

Eardley, said: “It has been a lot of hard work but I and made up for them both.

“Gaz obviously had his injury but when he came back you could see the clear effect he had on the team. He is a really good friend of mine and for him to come in for the long haul is fantastic.

“He has bags of experience and can stretch defences, and as he has played in the WPL before Gaz was one that we targeted from the outset. Having grown up with Gaz seeing him succeed gives me the greatest satisfaction really, and the Cofi Army have really taken to him.”

Hard-working striker Breese is also set to finally test his skills in the top flight after successful stints with Llanidloes Town and the Canaries in the HGA, with the lethal forward recovering from an indifferent start to the campaign to end second in the top scorer rankings with 22.

“Breesy is another crowd favourite and he is a player that deserves a chance to test himself against the top defenders in the country, something I think he will thrive on,” added Eardley.

“When the offer went into him he was made up and hopefully he can stay injury free and make a real go of it in the Welsh Premier League.”

Eardley also confirmed that talks with the remainder of the current squad have been “positive”, and stated he wants them all back in for pre-season training with more positive news expected in the coming days.
