CAERNARFON Town manager Sean Eardley has urged his side to see out the season in style and claim the Huws Gray Alliance title.

The long-time leaders have promotion in their sights after a stunning campaign so far, and just a handful of games stand between them and an elusive promotion to the JD Welsh Premier League.

Next up for the Canaries is a home clash with Airbus Broughton on Saturday (2.30pm), and Eardley stated confidence is high ahead of the clash.

He said: “Airbus will be a tough test this weekend. They have a lot of experience and good young players with a very good management team so we will have to be at our best to get a result.

“I’m looking forward to seeing the Llandudno old boys too.

“The application of the team has been unbelievable since I’ve come in. There’s banter flying all the time, but at the right times. We show so much determination to apply ourselves right and obviously the results and performances have proved this.”

The recently appointed boss also took time to praise the Cofi Army for the support during the initial stage of his reign, but urged his side to take things “one game at a time” in their pursuit of glory.

“The supporters have been excellent from day one with me,” added Eardley.

“We shared a few beers after the Welsh Cup game against TNS with committee and board members and the togetherness everyone shown was refreshing to see, it certainly made me more determined to succeed.

“I don’t mean to sound boring but literally it’s been taking it game by game. The competitiveness of the league is very high and I think anyone can beat anyone on the day. We turn up, look to do the business then another game is chalked off and it’s onto the next one.

“Overall the players are a talented group and are a pleasure to work with.”

With the finishing line in sight, Eardley has claimed that the Cofis are “buzzing” ahead of the run-in, and he hopes to have a full-strength squad at his disposal in the coming weeks to give them a greater chance to succeed.

He said: "We have players coming back from injuries and niggles at the right time, on reflection other teams maybe the same with the recent postponements.

"But the end is near, teams are trying to catch us so we have to be above and beyond our set standards every week.

“It will be tough, but I believe in myself, my management team and certainly my players in getting the job done, but actions speak louder than words, we’re buzzing for it mind.”
