BANGOR City manager Craig Harrison has made his fourth signing of the summer ahead of the new Huws Gray Alliance season.

The Citizens confirmed the arrivals of talented youngster Jake Phillips, who arrives at the VSM Stadium on a season-long loan from JD Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay Nomads.

Harrison, said: “I am really pleased to get Jake on loan. He is a fantastic young player with massive potential.

“He has already made 20 plus Welsh Premier League appearances with Cefn Druids and Connah's Quay.

“He also had a great upbringing at Wrexham. He can play in multiple positions and is a very good footballer with good energy which will complement the senior more experienced players in the squad.

“I would like to thank Andy Morrison and Jay Catton on loaning Jake to ourselves and I’m sure both parties with get massive benefits".

Phillips joined the Nomads last year prior to their Europa League campaign, and made his debut for Morrison’s men in their high-profile Finnish outfit HJK Helsinki.

He has also enjoyed spells at Wrexham as a youth product, in addition to top flight side Cefn Druids.

City are currently in discussions with a number of potential signings as the club looks to bounce back following their demotion due to their FAW Domestic Licence appeal failure, and the second tier title favourites are expected to make further announcements in the coming days regarding squad enhancements.
