IT was one in, one out at Bangor City as new manager Craig Harrison has begun to re-shape his squad.

The Citizens confirmed the signing of midfielder Tom Field, while long-serving defender Anthony Miley has left the club and signed for JD Welsh Premier League side Bala Town.

Field is best known in Welsh football for his time at Airbus where he made 96 appearances, scoring 25 goals.

He was instrumental in the Wingmakers’ qualification for the UEFA Europa League, and the former Everton trainee has also represented Stalybridge Celtic, Vauxhall Motors, AFC Telford Connah’s Quay Nomads, Marine and Stockport County throughout his career.

Harrison said: “It’s great to get someone of Tom’s experience, quality and leadership joining the squad.

“Tom is someone I spoke to on numerous occasions when I was at TNS.

“Tom knows Welsh football very well and will give good balance within the squad of experience and youth, alongside Les and a few more experienced players coming in and the exciting young talented lads who are already at the club.”

Miley’s departure is one of many expected following the Citizens’ demotion to the Huws Gray Alliance, and departs the VSM Stadium after a hugely successful five-year spell.

He made 28 starts last season, scoring once and has made 131 top flight appearances.
