BANGOR City face a significant hurdle if they want to reach the JD Welsh Cup final.

The Citizens have been drawn against either Connah’s Quay Nomads or the New Saints of Oswestry Town for a place in the showcase following their quarter-final triumph over Penydarren BGC.

Kevin Nicholson’s side have had success against both sides in their respective JD Welsh Premier League contests this season, but either will be a huge stumbling block to overcome as they look to achieve some silverware from what has been a season of significant progression to date.

Providing Llandudno get past Newtown on Tuesday night in their rearranged fixture, Iwan Williams’ men will come up against either Aberystwyth Town or Carmarthen Town for a place in the final.

With both sides lying below them in the table, Tudno will fancy their chances of reaching the final two for the first time in their history, but they face a stern test in the form of Chris Hughes’ Robins.
