CONFUSION surrounds the future of Bangor City following a shock statement.
The Citizens announced that they have taken the decision to shut their VSM Bangor Stadium and their 3G facilities “until further notice” on Thursday, January 18.
In a further twist it was also revealed that chairman Gordon Craig and secretary Nick Wood has resigned from their respective posts with immediate effect.
The statement, read: “Due to unforeseen circumstances Bangor City FC have taken the decision to cancel all usage of the VSM Bangor Stadium including the 3G facilities until further notice.
“At a board room reshuffle that also took place the chairman Gordon Craig and company secretary Nick Wood have resigned with immediate effect.
“Bangor City FC apologises for any inconvenience caused.”
Kevin Nicholson’s side are next due back in action at Nantporth on February 3 when they open Phase Two of the JD Welsh Premier League season against Cardiff Met, but it remains to be seen whether or not they will be able to fulfil this fixture given their current predicament.
Further enquiries have been made to the club with no response as yet.
