RAIN washed out what was building up to be an exciting North Wales Cricket League premier division finish at Mochdre on Sunday with Menai Bridge First Hydro taking an 8-6 winning draw points split.

Runs proved to be hard to come by as Bridge took first knock, James Coate (38), Tawar Kahn (22) and Paul Lucas (18) leading the way in the total of 145 in the 58th over.

Russell Boswell picked up 3 for 37 and Will Evans 2 for 6.

Kiwi Laurie Watson (49) led the home run quest and Mochdre had advanced to 96 for 5 in 28 overs before the rains came, Lucas taking 3 for 29 off his ten overs, leaving the hosts fifty runs short with plenty of overs but with the tail to come.
