ALL three local premier division clubs crashed to defeat in the Readers Romida North Wales Cricket League last weekend.

However, Bangor drew some consolation from extending defending champions Llandudno at the Oval as the hosts stuttered on 68 for 4 before an unbroken stand between Owen Jones (45 not out) and Kevin James (32no) steadied the ship and steered Llandudn
o to 148 for 4.

Humani Afridi picked up 3 for 28.

Bangor had earlier been put in to bat and lost early wickets before Kevin Williams (43) helped the visitors re-establish themselves on 90 for 4, but despite 23 from Raj Britto, they were back in the pavilion for 147 as Jack Rimmington mopped up with 5 for 46.

A batting collapse cost Menai Bridge at Mold after Aussie James Coate (48) had helped steer the islanders to 76 for 2 before the last eight wickets crashed for just 33, posting just 109 as Steve Burkhill applied the coup de gras with 3 for 4 in just four overs.

Jamie Griffiths (42) and Usman Butt (29) laid the foundations of the reply with an opening stand of 66, and although Paul Lucas came on late to take two wickets for no runs in four overs, David Soothill finished the match with a six, his only scoring stroke as Mold ended on 114 for 4.

Bethesda's pro Alex Robynson (41) received no support as the Parc Villa club crashed to 101 all out at Pontblyddyn, Ian Buchanan (11) the only other batsman to reach double figures.

Charles Fernando (4 for 29) and Julian Morris (3 for 15) were the destroyers in chief.

Earlier, opener Phil Davies (38) paved the way for Mark Neath (43) and Chris Moss (36) to steer the hosts 188 for 9 before declaring after 48.3 overs. Avinash Ponnala took 3 for 15.
