Divison One North
LEAGUE leaders Caernarfon were denied the opportunity to move clear of second placed Mold after last Saturday’s top of the table clash was postponed due to the weather.
The Cofis were due to host the side that has stayed hot on their heels throughout the season thus far, but will now have to wait until January 8 for their next match.
Said match will see the Royal Towners at home to defending champions Nant Conwy, and a home win would see Caernarfon 13 points clear of Nant.
At the other end of the table, Llangefni had been scheduled to meet Nant Conwy in a rearranged Swalec Plate encounter, but the contest was called off after heavy snow.
As a result Cefni’s next match sees them back in league action at Bethesda (January 8) and the Island side will be seeking to end a run of seven straight losses.
For their part Bethesda head into the meeting in reasonably good shape, albeit with the disappointment of a home fixture with Ruthin being postponed.
Division Two North
IT HAS not been the best of seasons thus far for Bangor, with seven defeats in seven and no points on the board.
And that will be the situation for the club until the New Year after last Saturday’s home meeting with title challengers Rhyl was called off.
Bangor’s next game sees them travel to Dolgellau on January 8.
Division Three North
SECOND placed Menai Bridge are neck and neck with leaders Shotton Steel on 20 points, but were unable to further their cause when last Sunday’s home match with the table toppers was frozen off.
As a result Bridge will be back in league action on January 8 with Rhosllanerchrugog the visitors (2.30pm).
And Bridge will be hoping for a favour from Island rivals Benllech who face Shotton on January 8 (2.30pm).
Benllech was another side who had last Saturday’s match, at home to Llangollen, called off.
Finally bottom club Holyhead’s home fixture with Rhosllanerchrugog will have to be re-arranged and the strugglers will need a positive result at home to Harlech on January 8 (2.30pm).
