CITY boss Nev Powell wants his side to get back into the winning habit against visitors Prestatyn Town on Bank Holiday Monday (2.30pm).
The Blues have had an enforced winter break due to the Artic freeze in Wales, leading to the postponement of last Friday’s crunch clash at The New Saints.
Powell said: “It was necessary to cancel the game - we didn’t want to risk the safety of either the players or the fans and make them travel in the A55 in those conditions.
“We’re very, very disappointed with the attitude of the TNS officials who tried to force the game to be played.
“As a club we felt it wasn’t worth the risk.”
Having dropped their first points of the season in a one all draw at Airbus, a good result at The New Saints would have been ideal for the Blues.
However with that match postponed, City will be looking for their 16th win of the season when the Seasiders come calling.
Powell added: “The side has had a ten day break and the lads are all fit and raring to go, James Brewerton aside.
“There is a doubt over the game (against Prestatyn) as the pitch at Farrar Road is covered with snow but hopefully it will go ahead.
“We’ll know on Monday if it will and we’ll simply go out and play football the way we do.”
The club also confirmed that the match at Llanelli has been rescheduled for either Tuesday, January 4 or Wednesday, January 5.
