HOLYHEAD Hotspur kicked off life in the Welsh Alliance Football League with a dominant 6-1 showing against Llanrug United.
The Harbourmen showed their intent as early as the first minute with hotshot Barry Haigh scoring straight from kick off, only for Carl Wayne Jones to respond immediately for the visitors with an equaliser a minute later.
Mel McGuiness restored Spurs’ lead in the fifth minute and further goals from Haigh (53), Curt Williams (67), Dean Garmey (79) and Kenleigh Owen (85) completed the rout.

James Saxon then walked after the hour and though his brother Chris pulled back a late goal, it was curtains for Glan as they shipped two more goals.
