Llangefni Town 5
Berriew 1
BERRIEW manager, Russell Cadwallader praised his sides efforts after they went down 5-1 away at high flying Llangefni Town.
He said: “It was closer than 5-1 suggests. We worked hard and gained their respect.
“They’ve got a bit more quality than us so it was always going to be difficult, but we never threw the towel in and their heads didn’t drop.”
He added: “It was 1-0 at half time but they got two quick goals after the restart but we didn’t give up.
“They were a better side but it’s no disgrace in losing to them.”
Lee Craven opened the hosts’ account when he struck as early as the seventh minute.
However it wasn’t until early in the second half when goals from Marc Evans and Danny Glyn ensured Llangefni took control.
Neil Pryce reduced the arrears for the visitors, but goals from Kevin Lloyd and Darren Gowans completed a comprehensive win for Llangefni.
