Llyn Alaw weekly angling report
QUITE a difficult week at Llyn Alaw at times with fish hard to find, specially on the more popular banks.
Once again anglers using fly and spinner seem to be taking some of the best catches, probably because the move from place to place rather than sticking to the same spot.
There are still older fish being caught with several trout of over two pounds taken and the best bag of the week at nearly 12 pounds.
In addition, there are signs that the weed beds are starting to break up, which should make the trout have to search a bit harder for their food, given reasonable weather in the autumn anglers should have some good catches.
