MENAI BRIDGE were again in irresistible form as they secured cruised to a 9-wicket victory over Brymbo.

The Anglesey side remain at the summit of the North Wales Cricket Premier League with just four games to go after they took apart their Wrexham-based opponents.

Ashley Wood dominated with the ball, taking figures of 4-7, as Bridge dismissed their opponents for just 82.

Opener Robbie Jones hit 38 not out in response, with Ashley Wood’s additional 23 helping the hosts impressively achieve their target inside 24 overs.

BANGOR gave a spirited performance but could not prevent a narrow 2-wicket defeat by St Asaph.

City posted a lowly total of 107, with Robert Marshall (42) and Simon Murley (24 not out) making key contributions.

The saints nearly came unstuck in their reply, as Bangor’s bowling attack gave them a run for their money.

Kiwi export Murley’s 4-44 was followed up by David Hughes’ 2-29, but hosts had Grove Venter to thank, as his decisive innings of 69 pushed his side across the winning post.

BETHESDA enjoyed a comprehensive 87-run win over Connahs Quay 2nds.
