GLANTRAETH turned on the style to secure an emphatic 9-1 thrashing of Gwynedd League rivals Mynydd Tigers.

Warren Gibbs’ side moved up to sixth position in the standings after securing their fourth win in seven contests since reforming, and they were at their ruthless best on home soil during a scintillating attacking display.

The hosts wasted no time in breaking the deadlock after Andy Clark notched the opener after just five minutes, and the same player was on hand to double their advantage with a neat finish with 14 gone.

Dion Williams managed to secure a third after 18 minutes following another consistent spell of possession, but the visitors dug in for the remainder of the half and kept the scoreboard down to give them a slight chance in the second period.

This joy proved to be short lived thanks to a dominant performance from the home side after the interval, which began with Nick Clark and Williams putting the game beyond doubt on 53 and 75 minutes.

Nick Clark broke clear and finished well to seal his brace on 75 minutes, and Andy Clark rounded off a sensational individual display with his hat-trick on 84.

There was still time for more joy as Dylan Hughes notched an eighth on 85 minutes, and despite an Adam Roberts consolation for the visitors a minute later, Clark was on hand to complete the scoring with a treble of his own in stoppage time.

The result leaves Traeth seven points behind leaders Menai Bridge Tigers having played the same amount of games.
