THE Anglesey League provided 51 goals in just five matches this weekend.

As the Elias Cup kicked off, there were plenty of goals to talk about as certain put in ruthless performances.

Caergybi hammered Bodorgan 12-1 thanks to goals from James Ryan (5), Justin Williams (2), Dave Webb (2), Glenn North, Mike Owen and Luke McKittrick.

Arriva Bangor went one step better and destroyed Llandegfan 14-2 at Lon Ty Newydd. Scott Hughes, returning from a two month absence through injury, bagged a double hat-trick, Luke Lloyd and Matty Jones enjoyed a hat-trick each and Marc Williams and Danny Camilleri completed the rout.

Llanfairpwll and Cemaes Bay played out a thriller, with the latter coming away with a 5-4 victory in extra time. Goals from Shaun Morris and Matty Barley (2) put the hosts in control but Cemaes came back to 3-3 thanks to a Ryan Rowlands hat-trick. Goals from Danny Ross (Llanfair) and Dafydd Jones (Cemaes) took the tie to Extra Time, where Liam Rodriguez bagged an eventual winner for the visitors.

In the Anglesey League, Bryngwran Bulls came away from Valley with a 7-3 win. Despite missing two penalties, The Bulls took the three points thanks to goals from Craig Moore (2), Matty Roberts, Matt Reynolds, Anton Williams, Iolo Jones and Dan Williams. The home side's goals came via Barry Haigh, Paul Williams and an Andrew Bailey penalty.

Elsewhere, Cefni continued their impressive form of late with a 2-1 win over Pentraeth Reserves. Goals from Paul Jones and Lee Lewis were enough for the home side as they cancelled out Gwynfor Owen's strike.
