BANGOR City have received more good news after confirming the signing of Steven Hewitt.

The talented midfielder re-joins the Citizens after playing a starring role for the club last season, where they finished second behind The New Saints of Oswestry Town in the JD Welsh Premier League under Kevin Nicholson.

After a hugely positive start to the Huws Gray Alliance campaign, Hewitt has agreed to re-join the squad and spearhead their expected promotion push as they look to make an instant return to the top flight.

Manager Craig Harrison, said: “It’s great to get Steven on board, he has been training with us of course is no stranger to the Citizens fans as he was an integral part of last seasons on pitch success.

“He chipped in with double figures in goals which is always a positive as we all know goals win games and the more areas of the pitch and the more players who are goal threats then the more chance we have of scoring more goals and winning games.

"Steven also brings more competition and quality to our squad with Championship, league two, National league and of course Europa league experience and still only being 24 years of age."

Hewitt will be added to the squad that take on Porthmadog at the VSM Stadium on Tuesday night, where they will be looking to maintain their 100 per cent start to the season.
