THE Lucas Oil Anglesey League returned this weekend and as always, there were plenty of goals to talk about.

Llandegfan's woes continued on into the new season as they fell to a crushing 12-1 defeat at home to a strong Bryngwran Bulls side.

Last season's basement side were beaten all ends up as Man of the Match Craig Moore bagged six goals. Fellow new signings Jerome Sillence (4), Matt Reynolds and Anton Williams completed the rout before Kurt Harris scored a consolation goal for the home side.

Elsewhere, Pentraeth Reserves put in a good shift but eventually lost out 4-3 to title favourites Caergybi. Goals from Kenny Williams, Nathan Jones and Tom Jones were not enough as a brace from last season's top scorer Gary Jo Owen alongside goals from Glenn North and Dewi Thomas secured the win for Dale Moffat's team.

Meanwhile, Bodorgan beat league newcomers Cefni 2-1. Attackers Luke Allaway and Luke Gardiner secured the three points for Bod and Nathan Lewis scored for the visitors.

Mike Kelly's young Holyhead Hotspur Reserves side fell to a narrow 1-0 loss at home to Arriva Bangor - Sammie Williams' goal being the only difference between the two sides.

Finally, Valley earned themselves a 4-1 victory over Cemaes Bay. Paul Williams bagged a brace for the home side and Dewi Thomas and Ian Williams completed the scoreline. Liam Rodriguez had levelled for Cemaes early on.
