CAERNARFON Town face a tricky trip to Rhyl in the Nathaniel MG Cup first round.

A big crowd is expected at the Belle Vue Stadium for the cup clash, which sees the newly promoted Canaries aiming to avoid an upset against the Lilywhites, who are expected to make a strong push for the Huws Gray Alliance title after significant changes in backroom staff and playing personnel over the summer.

Craig Harrison’s Bangor City have been handed a home tie against JD Welsh Premier League side Llandudno as they look to contest for multiple honours this term, with the ambitious manager aiming to get the Citizens back into the top flight following their demotion due to their failure to obtain an FAW Domestic Licence.

There are plenty of notable derbies throughout the first round schedule, with a new-look Prestatyn Town making the journey to Denbigh Town and Holywell Town taking on county rivals Fint Town United.

Guilsfield will be looking to cause a major surprise in their trip to big-spending Bala Town, and a fancied Airbus Broughton outfit make the short journey to Europa League qualifiers Cefn Druids.

All ties are to be played on Tuesday, September 28.
