ST ASAPH City boss Daniel Brewerton has made two more signings as he continues his squad overhaul.

The recently appointed manager has made his presence felt ahead of the new Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One campaign as the Saints look to improve their fortunes.

Talented midfielder Declan Thomas has agreed to stay on at the club and has impressed during training sessions and friendly matches during the summer, and his presence within the set-up is set to add more bite to the engine room during what is expected to be another ultra-competitive third tier race to the Huws Gray Alliance.

Also agreeing to stay on at the city side is Iwan Davies, with the technically gifted player joining a gifted young squad that have the capability of pushing for a top four finish under the young boss.

Brewerton, said: “Dec has shown his great qualities in the games we’ve played so far, he has a great desire to constantly win the ball back and keeps things simple when on the ball, never allows his opponent time on the ball.

“Iwan has great technical ability, as well as being another left footed player in the squad he’s comfortable playing either side of the pitch, will give a consistent performance every time.”

Thomas was on target for the Saints in their 4-2 victory over Denbigh Town Reserves, with a brace from Corey Brewerton and a Simon Fawcett strike completing the scoring.
