BANGOR City have secured the service of talented young winger Jacob Farleigh.
The former professional at all-conquering JD Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints of Oswestry Town has been training with the Citizens throughout the summer, and manager Craig Harrison decided to offer him a permanent deal after Farleigh impressed significantly during their recent friendly fixtures.
The 19-year-old has big shoes to fill following Luke Wall’s controversial departure from the VSM Stadium last week, but the City boss is confident the teenage sensation can make a significant impact as they look to secure the Huws Gray Alliance title and promotion to the top flight at the first time of asking.
Harrison, said: "I am really pleased that we have signed Jacob as he is another player I know exactly what I can get from him.
“I feel that he was very unlucky not to get another contract at TNS. He brings pace, trickery, hard work as well as goals.
“This gives us pace, trickery, direct play in wide areas with Jacob, Robbie (Parry) and Bossy (Alex Boss). Great option to have as pace is a key at all levels.
“Jacob is still very young, has huge potential and will excite the Bangor City fans.”
