ST ASAPH City boss Daniel Brewerton has further bolstered his squad with two significant signings ahead of the new season.

The Saints confirmed that Duncan Midgley and Simon Fawcett have returned to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One outfit as they look to improve their fortunes in the third tier under the new management team.

Midgley, who is currently starring for the city’s side in the North Wales Cricket League Premier Division, is an experienced forward who enjoyed a hugely successful spell at the club and will be a huge asset both on and off the field throughout the coming campaign.

Another notable addition to the set-up is Fawcett, who has impressed considerably during the initial stages of pre-season, which included an eye-catching performance during their recent friendly against Llandudno Junction.

Brewerton’s men continue their preparations next Friday when they travel to JD Welsh Premier League side Connah’s Quay to take on their U19 side, before hosting Llanuwchlyn and Denbigh Town Reserves on July 31 and August 4 ahead of their first competitive outing of the season at home to newly promoted Bodedern Athletic on August 11.
