Menai Bridge Cricket Club have continued there solid 2018 form, taking out the North Wales Cricket League ECB T20 crown.

The Club hosted the finals on Sunday having won through by defeating Pwllheli last month.

The first game saw Menai Bridge take on Llandudno. The home side won the toss, and skipper Dion Holden elected to bat first.

Lead by half centuries from Robbie Jones (57) and Ed Gadsby (50) Menai were able to post a respectable 8 for 199 from their 20 overs.

In reply Llandudno could only manage 8 for 156 from their 20 overs.

Matthew Jones and Sam Rimmington were the top scorers for the visitors with 28 and 23 respectively.

Best with the ball for Menai Bridge was Gethin Long with figures of 3 for 10.

This win saw the hosts make it through to the final where they faced off against Northop.

Again Holden won the toss and elected to bat first.

Robbie Jones was again in good form posting another 57, and with the help of the skipper (35) saw Menai Bridge to 8 for 178 from their 20 overs.

In reply Northop reached 119 before being bowled out, with just three balls remaining in their innings.

Top scorer for Northop was Adrew Oakes with 29 while with the ball Holden was in stunning form claiming figures of 6 for 10.

Menai Bridge will now venture to Flixton Cricket Club (Greater Manchester League winners) and face off against the winners of the North Staffs League.

The regional final will take place in Sunday, July 29.
