The away side managed to set a target of 139 from their 35 overs in the middle, with the opening pair of Matthew Jackson and Nathan Evans top scoring with knocks of 31 and 30 respectively.

Another positive contribution came from Martin Roberts, who made 25, with captain Jordan Taylor making 17 before he was caught off a John Coulson delivery.

Venkat Sundaram was the pick of the home bowlers, taking three wickets for the loss of just 12 runs, whilst Coulson also took three scalps at the expense of 32.

The hosts produced a fantastic effort to ensure they reached their total with minimal fuss, with opener Dafydd Roberts getting them off to a flyer with a knock of 41 before he was ousted by Nathan Evans.

Wicketkeeper Michael Parton and Matthew Duckworth remained resolute to see out the remainder of the innings, ending the day unbeaten on 54 and 36 to secure victory after 25 overs at the crease.
