PRESTATYN Sports face a baptism of fire as they prepare to enter Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One for the first time in their history.

Mark Hughes’ side will not have to wait long to see where they stand in the third-tier pecking order with a massive first month of action, which begins with a difficult looking trip to Barmouth and Dyffryn United to open the campaign on Saturday, August 11.

This will be swiftly followed by a trip to title hopefuls Llanrwst United on August 14, before welcoming Mynydd Llandegai to their Gronant base for their first home game of the season on August 18.

Recently relegated Llandudno Junction are next up for the Division Two champions on August 22, and they close out a frantic first few weeks with home ties against title favourites Llangefni Town and Llandudno Albion.

St Asaph City begin their new era under Daniel Brewerton at home to newly promoted Bodedern Athletic, before welcoming Llandudno Albion on August 15.

The Saints also take on Nantlle Vale, Greenfield, Llanrug United and Ryan Harden’s Llandyrnog United during their first month of competitive action.

Division Two side Meliden open their campaign with a trip to Llannerchymedd, before coming up against Vale of Clwyd and Conwy Premier Division champions Kinmel Bay in a hotly anticipated derby clash on August 14.

Also on the schedule throughout August are Y Felinheli, Llannefydd, Aberffraw and title favourites Glan Conwy.
