BANGOR City manager Craig Harrison has re-signed two influential squad members from last season as they look to make an instant return to the JD Welsh Premier League.

The Citizens announced that Alex Darlington and Luke Wall will spearhead their Huws Gray Alliance title tilt, with the pair playing a significant role in their top flight success under Kevin Nicholson last term.

Talented winger Wall drew widespread plaudits throughout the campaign, which saw him shortlisted for the WPL’s Young Player of the Year Award.

Both have turned down significant offers from elsewhere to remain at the VSM Stadium under Harrison, who is looking to get the club back to the top of the Welsh pyramid at the earliest opportunity thanks to a number of high-profile signings.

The City boss is also hoping that Danny Gosset, George Harry, Guto Williams and Paul Connolly will also stay on, with discussions ongoing between all parties.

There have been plenty of outgoings following their demotion to the second tier, with goalkeeper Matthew Hall and forward Dean Rittenberg the two latest high-profile names to announce their departures.

They join a list that includes Laurence Wilson, Anthony Miley, Connor Roberts, Joel Bembo-Leta, Yves Zama, Steven Hewitt, Brayden Shaw, Danny Holmes, Tom Kennedy, Cai Owen and player-assistant manager Gary Taylor-Fletcher that are no longer with the club.
