BANGOR City have made another positive move with the appointment of Mathew Thomas as their new commercial manager.

The former chairman at Lock Stock Welsh Alliance outfit Gaerwen is a lifelong supporter of the Citizens and on the Welsh TV programme S4C Ffit Cymru recently.

He brings a wealth of experience to the Huws Gray Alliance side and is eager to further enhance the reputation of the club in his new role.

Thomas, said: "I'm over the moon to take this role at this special Ccub. Bangor City FC has always been a club close to my heart and I really can't wait to get working with the owners. I hope to build new and special relationships with the community and local businesses.

"For the past four years I have been the chairman of Gaerwen FC who are situated at the Welsh Alliance, where I picked that club from the gutters and left it in very good hands.

"Like every player in the game, they work hard to better themselves by trying to play at the highest level possible and I see it exactly the same way. I worked tirelessly at Gaerwen and achieved everything I set out to. I feel that I deserve my chance at a higher Level.

"People who know me, will know how hard I work in the local communities and all that I do to raise money for amazing causes. This will be no different.

"This is an amazing Club with great history, tradition and fans. I can't wait to do everything I can to help make Bangor great once again. Keep the Faith.”
