A NEW book detailing the history of the JD Welsh Premier League and the League of Wales is currently being written, and the author is seeking help from fans.

Marc Webber, who presents the Welsh Premier League podcast and is also a football reporter for BBC Final Score, is after as many memories as possible for the edition which will come out before Christmas.

He has already visited clubs including Prestatyn Town, Rhyl and Bangor City as part of the research process, and he is now seeking stories from supports across the region to hear about any special stories or memories for the book.

Marc said: "I'm after any pictures, tickets or stories that can help me tell over two decades of Welsh club football.

“If you have ever been on a European Tour for a game, or you would like me to highlight the skills of one specific player -even if he's not played for your side -then send me an email.

"Anything from babies being born at grounds to stories of heartache and grief. It will all help.

"It's been a rollercoaster ride for fans, clubs and the league. I hope to capture that and tell the story of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of our premier competition and have a discussion about where it takes us from here."

Anyone with anything to share is urged to contact Mr Webber via email at wplmemories@outlook.com.
