ST ASAPH City boss Daniel Brewerton has re-signed a host of key squad members and acquired some familiar faces in his first few days at the helm.

The Saints announced the news on Sunday, June 17, and the announcement comes as a huge boost to the new manager following his appointment from Rhyl Youth.

Prolific forward Jake Walker has agreed to stay on at the club despite speculation linking him with a move to Kinmel Bay and Prestatyn Town, which represents a massive coup for the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division Two outfit.

Skipper Dave Evans is another that has re-affirmed his commitment to the cause, while left-footed playmaker Jordan has also signed on the dotted line.

The new boss, said: “Getting as many of the existing squad on board was my priority, they are the backbone of the team and foundations of the club.

“They are a great bunch of lads that I’m looking to working with.”

Brewerton has also secured the signatures of a host of new arrivals, with former Rhyl Reserves captain James Williams and Daniel Williams both arriving from the Lilies’ second unit.

Another notable addition to the squad is goalkeeper Luke Wilmot, who recently represented Wales in the 2018 Centenary Shield and is widely regarded as one of the best young stoppers anywhere in the region.

Promising young midfielder Corey Brewerton will get a shot at the third tier after a hugely successful spell with Rhyl Youth, while Callum Murphy also follows Brewerton to the city side after winning Manager’s Player of the Year for the Vale of Clwyd and Conwy League Premier Division side last term.
