BANGOR City manager Craig Harrison has made his fifth signing of the transfer window with the acquisition of Robbie Parry.

The talented winger arrives at the VSM Stadium from JD Welsh Premier League champions The New Saints of Oswestry Town, where he spent the last two seasons.

The 23-year-old also spent time on loan at Llandudno last season and has recorded more than 40 top-flight appearances in what has been a standout young career to date.

Harrison, who has worked with Parry previously when at the helm of TNS, said: “Robbie clearly has very good quality and has spent a lot of his career at top clubs.

“He is a very good lad who I know very well and am excited to work with him again as I feel I got the best out of him. Robbie scored nine goals in 21 games with me which is exceptional from a wide area.'

“He is extremely enthusiastic, he didn't play as such football as he should have played last year has the hunger and desire to earn his place in the team and the key thing for me is that he wants to be at the football club.”

The wide man, who was part of the Wales youth sides up to U19 level, began his career at Barclays Premier League side Wolverhampton Wanderers before moving on to rivals Stoek City, where he was part of their U21 squad.

He is the latest significant addition to the ambitious Citizens’ squad that is aiming to bounce back at the first opportunity, and Parry stated he is “'looking forward to getting this massive club back in to the Welsh Premier League and cannot wait to work with Craig again as I feel he got the best out of me”.
