A NUMBER of key squad members at Conwy Borough have re-committed to the club ahead of their return to the Huws Gray Alliance.

Manager Gareth Thomas has tied down the services of four more of his trophy laden squad during what has been an immensely busy summer of activity at Y Morfa so far.

Matty Lock, Leigh Craven and Brendun Hogan have all signed on the dotted line, while top scorer Corrig McGonigle will finally get an extended run at second tier football after signing on at Y Morfa for the coming season.

The striker was in ruthless form throughout their treble winning campaign, hitting 43 league goals on their way to the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One title, the FAW Trophy and Cookson Cup during one of the finest campaigns in the club’s history.

Former Glantraeth skipper Lock is another that made a huge impression with his talented and leadership qualities within the side, while Craven also hit the ground running after joining from Llandudno Junction midway through the season.

The midfielder, who has also represented Caernarfon Town during his career, is set to play a huge role for the Tangerines as they aim to re-establish themselves as a force within the division after a one-season stay in the third tier.

Rounding off the re-signings is Hogan, who is another impressive individual who enjoyed an outstanding campaign and has the potential to develop his growing reputation within the domestic game even further playing against higher quality opposition next term.

Boro are also set to announce some new signings over the weekend to further bolster the squad.
