BANGOR City manager Craig Harrison is finalising his pre-season plans ahead of their tilt at the Huws Gray Alliance next term.

The Citizens have an action-packed friendly fixture list to ready themselves for an expected pursuit of an instant return to the JD Welsh Premier League under the most successful manager in the history of the top flight.

They begin with a trip to Lock Stock Welsh Alliance Division One side Pwllheli on Monday, July 9, before visiting Penycae on July 14.

Harrison’s first home game in charge is sure to be a fantastic occasion, with National League side Wrexham and their new boss Sam Ricketts visit the VSM Stadium on Tuesday, July 17.

A fixture is scheduled for July 21 with the opponents yet to be confirmed, and they will also make a trip to Alan Morgan’s Evo-stik League promotion hopefuls Colwyn Bay on July 24 in what is expected to be another tough test of their credentials.

This will be followed with a home tie against Telford United, and City close out their pre-season with two quick-fire games against Warrington Town and Hyde United on July 31 and August 4 respectively.

The Chronicle understands that Harrison is currently in negotiations with a number of potential new arrivals as he continues to formalise a squad capable of competing at the top end of the second tier, with a number of senior squad figures also set to depart following their failure to obtain an FAW Domestic Licence.
