THREE key Caernarfon Town squad members have committed their long-term futures to the club.

Clive Williams, Darren Thomas and Nathan Craig were arguably their best performing stars of a sensational Huws Gray Alliance title winning campaign last term, and manager Sean Eardley confirmed on Wednesday, May 23 that all have penned new deals at The Oval.

Eardley said: “Nathan is club captain and everyone knows his qualities. For him to lead out his local club in the WPL will be a great feat, he has good quality and is a good lad off the field too.

“Daz was a bit of a star at the end of last year and when the game is in the balance he can turn it on at any given moment really.

“He has a big year ahead of him as he already had a stab at the WPL and things didn’t turn out as planned, but he is adored here and we want to get a good pre-season into him so he can hit the ground running.

“Clive was an unsung hero last year and was absolutely outstanding. Fish and I spoke about it intensely and fended off a bit of interest, but he didn’t want to go anywhere which was music to our ears and he has shown an unbelievable level of consistency.”

Eardley also revealed that he is speaking to a number of potential new signings regarding possible moves as he looks to ready his squad for the rigours of top flight football in his first full season in management.

“We have signalled our intent in recent weeks and like every club we are looking to strengthen,” added Eardley.

“We are speaking to players at the moment but I am buzzing for the start of pre-season. There is a lot of good things going on on-and-off the field and I can’t wait to get going.”
