GWYNEDD League champions Holyhead Town closed out their campaign with a 2-1 loss at Bontnewydd.

The Harbourmen tasted just their fourth defeat in 22 contests as they prepare to embark on life in the Lock Stock Welsh Alliance, and despite the eventual result they went ahead shortly after the break when Sion Davies converted a chance after 48 minutes.

This was met by a positive response from the hosts, who levelled matters on the hour mark when Dylan Price finished well, and things got even better on 81 minutes when Ian Pleming gave them all three points which confirmed fourth spot.

Llanystumdwy confirmed third place in the standings despite being held to a 2-2 home draw with Gwalchmai.

Sion Parry and Rhys Hughes were on target for the hosts, with Owain Williams and Geraint Jones on target for Gwalch, who narrowly missed out on a fourth placed finish on goal difference.

Menai Bridge Tigers produced one of their finest displays of the season in their penultimate outing to secure a 5-0 rout at Talysarn Celts.

First half efforts from Dafydd Healy, Owain Griffith and Andy Wannop gave them a commanding advantage at the interval, and there was further cause for celebration in the second period when Gethin Davies and Owain Fon rounded off the scoring late on.
