OUTGOING Bangor City manager Kevin Nicholson has been speaking about his future after leaving the club.

The talented young boss has stated he is “open-minded” about his next move after deciding not to continue with the Citizens following their FAW Domestic Licence failure despite finishing second behind The New Saints of Oswestry Town and qualifying for Europe.

He is also looking to continue the ethos of developing young players, something that saw a number of City Academy graduates make an impression with the senior squad under the guidance of Nicholson, who has developed a reputation as one of the finest young managers in the region and reportedly attracted interest from Chester FC.

Nicholson, said: “Looking ahead to the future, my desire to remain in management and coaching is as strong as ever. I am also open-minded with regards to the next move.

“The great experiences I have had at Bangor City have made me hungry to continue developing and help clubs and organisations to achieve their goals.

“I want to help a club or organisation to achieve success on the field, to develop its young players and create the basis for building a successful future.

“I am passionate about the game and have dedicated my professional life to it. I hope the right club or organisation will allow me to be their custodian.

“We can then work together to achieve their vision of success. I look forward to the future and the next challenge.”

Assistant Gary Taylor-Fletcher is also keen to stay involved within the management side of the game and has declared himself “open to offers”.

The Citizens will unveil their new management team at a press conference on Thursday ahead of their return to the Huws Gray Alliance.
